TV mogul Simon likes to wind Cheryl up – but that just means he’s fond of the Geordie beauty
From contestant quarrels to the green ‘Kermit’ dress gaffe, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s return to the X Factor judging panel has seen plenty of the fiery arguments between the Geordie pop-star and Simon Cowell – and it’s made great TV-viewing.
The singing competition may be coming to its grand final but are the bickering two really still feuding?
Cowell says the live-TV spats are all a bit of fun – in fact, they’re actually good friends.

Speaking to the The Sun TV Mag Cowell said: “I’ve been reading all this stuff about me and her falling out, but we haven’t. I tease her, which means I like her
He added: We speak a lot during the week and we text each other. She is actually my friend.”
However, the opinionated TV judge did not seem too guilty about mocking Cheryl’s green gown on one of the live shows. Cheeky Cowell called Cheryl ‘Kermit’ live-on-air and sent Twitter into a meme-making frenzy.
“I love it when she wears stuff like that Kermit dress. When I saw her wearing it backstage I literally fell about laughing because I thought this is going to be a funny night. It was just such a terrible dress.”

Meanwhile the X Factor judges are gearing up for the X Factor’s grand final.
Simon Cowell’s Over-25 act Fleur East is tipped to win this year’s competition, while his other Ben Haenow and Andrea Faustini are hot on her heels.
Mr Cowell says that it’s anyone’s game in this year’s competition.
“I’ve never been on a show where anyone who is left could win”.
