Woman who spent $188K on McDonald’s loses half her body weight

Doctors told the mom of two her overeating would kill her, but she wasn’t motivated to drop the weight until her 8-year-old son, Kordae, confessed he was being bullied at school because of her size.

“The thought of my little boy having to defend me broke my

heart,” Gordon told SWNS.

“He asked me why I was fat and I didn’t have an answer. He said, ‘Do you think you could wake up tomorrow and not be fat?’” she recalled.

With the support of her husband, Quinton Gordon, 37, and her sons, Kordae and 3-year-old Kobe, she dropped 100 pounds in six months after drastically changing her diet and fitness habits.

Gordon, who works as a mortgage processor, once ate a giant breakfast consisting of two sausage McMuffins, hash browns and a large soda before gorging on candy bars, donuts and potato chips.

For lunch she’d gulp down a Big Mac, two cheeseburgers, a large fries and a large Coke. She said she spent $200 a week at McDonald’s alone for nearly two decades.

Then for dinner, she’d dine on fried chicken while watching episodes of “Law & Order” and TV shows about the world’s fattest people.

Gordon, who now only eats 1,500 calories per day, swapped out fried foods and McDonald’s meals for fruits, vegetables and lean meats. Within six months of changing her lifestyle, she dropped 100 pounds.

Her exercise routine gradually became more rigorous and walks around the block turned to runs and sessions at the gym.

“The first two weeks were super hard, but after that it got easier. My body was in shock — I was living a completely different life,” Gordon said.

“After a few months, I started wearing skirts and dresses and people were telling me how great I looked,” she added.

Gordon, who is 5 feet 10 inches tall, eventually slimmed down to 169 pounds and wears a size 8 dress. At her heaviest, she wore a size 24. She also finally fits in her son’s arms.

“The best thing was that my son used to try and fit his arms around me and it made me sad that he couldn’t reach,” Gordon said.

“When he was finally able to, after about six months, he gave me a hug and said, ‘Mommy, I can fit my arms all the way round,’” she said.

Gordon’s kids weren’t the only ones to take note of her transformation. Gordon, who once barely fit in her office chair, was promoted at work.

And instead of spending her free time in front of the TV, she goes hiking and plays with her children.
