Meet Diane Friedman, a 100-year-old powerhouse from Cleveland, Ohio, who’s showing the world that age is just a number! Diane didn’t even start running until she was 70, but now, at 100, she’s smashing world records left and right. On August 15th, at the Michigan Senior Olympics, she broke three masters sports records, becoming the fastest woman over 100 years old!
Diane set world records in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes for the 100-104 age group, and if that wasn’t impressive enough, she also broke the American record for the javelin in the same category! In the 100-meter dash, she clocked in at an incredible 36.71 seconds, beating the previous record by nearly 3 seconds! Diane’s achievements are living proof that it’s never too late to chase your dreams, and with determination, passion, and a love for life, you can keep pushing your limits at any age!
