The Pilot For Reba McEntire’s New Sitcom Happy’s Place Was A Smash Success
Reba McEntire is celebrating the success of her new sitcom, Happy’s Place, after millions of viewers watched the pilot episode.
Following months of anticipation, Happy’s Place debuted on NBC on October 18. The show stars Reba as Bobbie, a strong-willed woman whose father recently passed away.
Bobbie throws herself into working at her late father’s tavern. But chaos ensues when she learns she has a younger half-sister who’s now her new business partner.
Other cast members include Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Rex Linn, Pablo Castelblanco, and Tokala Black Elk.
When it aired live on NBC, the pilot episode of Happy’s Place attracted over 4 million viewers. It was also the fifth most-watched primetime telecast that evening.
However, the actual number of viewers who watched the Happy’s Place premiere is even higher. According to Deadline, the pilot attracted over 10 million cross-platform viewers after it became available to stream.
The outlet also reports that Happy’s Place “is currently NBC’s best new comedy launch ever on Peacock, based on the three-day average minute viewership.”
Reba McEntire Thanks Fans In Video Message After Her New Show Attracts Millions Of Viewers
After hearing that the Happy’s Place pilot was a smash success, Reba took to social media to thank everyone who watched. She shared a video message for the show’s fans, saying:
“Y’all are the best, loyal fans ever in the world. Everybody here wanted me to tell you all ‘thank you, thank you, thank you.’ Let’s continue this ride together, okay?”
She expressed further gratitude in the caption, writing, “I wanted to thank each and every one of you who has tuned in to watch the premiere of Happy’s Place. We’re so grateful for the 10 million of you who’ve welcomed us into your living room.“
